I love Dogs
I love animals very much. Dogs always hold a special place in my heart. I have had a bow legged mongrel named 'Mishtu' meaning Sweetie, who lived only for 4.5 years and left me all alone because he had suddenly suffered from Liver failure. There was vacuum in my home for nearly 6 months and then my family decided to buy a new breed so that we all get over the sadness.
And then came Mac, a chocolate labrador retriever and he is 5.5 years old now. He has brought a lot of happiness and fun in my life. I would call him my younger brother. A lovely, adorable, sweetie-pie he is.
In my forthcoming to posts, I will be writing more about dog breeds, their nature, diet, etc.

Adopting pets
Having pets is not an easy task. You can pay millions to buy a dog but he needs lot of care, love and affection from you. He needs to be treated as one among your family members. So, before buying a pet for your home, think a million times and then decide whether you can giving him all the care and love he needs and deserves.
Repenting later will be very tough for you and for your pet too. Dogs are the most faithful creatures in the whole universe that god has created. Once they think that you are the master, they will do anything for you. So, giving away your pet later on may not mean much to you but for the dog it means everything. Due to depression and sadness many dogs who have left their home and gone to a new owner have infact died very soon.
So before owning a pet think of few things.
1. What type of dog breed you plan to have?
2. Is the house that I dwell in big-enough to have a pet? You will have a tough time having a St.Bernard in a 3 room apartment because he will be huge. So for flats, you can think of having miniature dogs like chihuahua. This factor is most important for you and your pet.
3. Will I be able to spend enough on my pet every month? For example, for my dog, I spend atleast 4000 to 5000 INR apart from doctor check ups. Am sure in countries like the US, Singapore and other countries, having pets are more expensive.
4. Will I have him with me all his life?
If your answers to the above questions are a BIG YES then you go ahead with it :)
