Pets are adorable

I love pets and that is precisely the reason I opened up a website dedicated for pet dogs. It is our due responsibility to take care of our pets as they are dependent on us all the time. We take care of my pet meticulously and my dad grooms my pet dog every day and takes him out on long walks to keep him away from obesity. Proper vaccinations and regular checkups are mandatory. If you do not have pets and you love to know more about them then visit Pet Products Buying Guide section of shopwiki.com website.

In the dog care buying guide you can see what are needed for a pet dog in your home. You will be amazed to see that their requirements are equal to ours. I have an important point to make about leashes and collars. I have always learnt that when you use collars for your dog, it should not be too tight that it chokes your pet nor should it be so loose that your pet dog can separate itself from it. This website is very useful and am sure you will benefit out of it. Just visit the website now for more information on pets and learn more about taking care of them.

Shifting home

Mac shifted home ..wait wait.. I just meant that my parents shifted home :). We are facing a weird problem. Mac is thinking that we would go back to the old house one day. He is not settling down in a place. To add to it, he does not eat well these days. Being a lab and a little plump, this boy finds it difficult to get up as we feel that his hind legs are weak.

It has been almost 3 months in the new home and he still feels unsettled. When my parents go out he barks non-stop. This has never been the case in the old house. We have left him alone for weeks when parents had to travel. He never used to create problems. Though he used to be sad that he is away from us, he still felt comfortable in the old home. This has not been the case in the new home. I just hope things get better and his feeling of jittery goes away.

Has anyone of you faced similar problems? If yes, do let me know how you overcame it.

Cutting toe Nails

We take most of our pet dogs for walking on roads. This will not only keep the dogs fit and healthy but also ensures that their nails are properly maintained. I mean to say that when their nails rub on rough surfaces they automatically gets trimmed and does not grow long. In this case, you need not take extra care to cut their nails. However, in some cases we have dogs that always walks in the garden or smooth flooring surfaces, etc. These dogs need to have their nails cut on a regular basis.

One way is to take the dog to the vet on a monthly basis and have it cut or bring the vet home and have it done. The other way is to buy the nail cutter that are being sold especially for pets. You can use them to cut your dogs nails. Now what is the length up to which you can cut? Just ensure you leave few centimeters from the toes and then cut the nails. If you cut more then the dog will start bleeding on the nails and it will be very painful for him. So its always okay to leave the nail little longer rather than hurting the pet. In this case you can check the nail growth on a weekly basis and have it cut.

Feeding dogs

Feed the dog daily. Do not skip their meals. For adult dogs, feed them with Pedigree. I feed my dog with rice, ghee and egg mix. He eats them happily. I feed him twice a day. In the morning when he wakes up, I feed him milk. Also in the evening, I feed him with little milk. This way he does not eat too much nor does he starve.

All of us need healthy pets. So we must ensure that our dog eats well and to the right amount. For puppies, its best to keep feeding milk for initial few months. Puppies are like babies. They cannot chew and swallow solid food. So feed them with milk until they grow up.

Fluffy/hairy dogs

To take care of dogs with lot of hair on their body, Shampoo them every fortnight and groom them with dog brush daily. This way the dog hair will not form knots and the pet will look gorgeous. For dogs with less hair like Labradors you can still groom them with brush so that they shed away dead hairs from their body. This is what I do for my dog and he looks shining.

How to feed your dog?

-> Keep the food separately in a bowl meant for your pet
-> Adjust the height of the bowl by using the adjustable feeding stand
-> Always give fresh food. If your pet is not in a mood to take the food then remove and feed it afterwards
-> Avoid keeping the food in the bowl continuously, this may lead to spoilage and digestive problems
-> Provide fresh and clean water
